Maggie’s centre is a place that anyone affected by cancer can turn to for help. The centre is open to everyone, not just to people who have been diagnosed with cancer, but also to their families, friends and carers.
Between 70 and 80 people day drops into Maggie’s Edinburgh to receive some support from the specialist support staff, or consult the Centres clinical psychologist, to have a cuppa or meet up with friends. They can attend one of the courses designed to help them live with, through and beyond a diagnosis of cancer, and obtain practical advice on concerns such as benefits.
Maggie’s is entirely funded by public donations which, is where you can make a difference by showing your support and signing up for Walk for Scotland and choosing Maggie’s as your charity.
